WITH OUR ROLE MODEL MOTHER LATE DAME MONICA OKOYE (OCHIORA ) THEY GAVE US SOLID CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION FOR TRUE SUCCESS

17th October 2026 will be 23 years our role model Father, Late Sir Felix Godson Nwenechukwu Okoye FGN,OON (chinyelugo Enuguw-ukwu)
Popularly called Federal Government of Nigeria went to be with the lord .

Our Father came from a humble family. He did not come from rich parentage but his parents allowed him to become a Christian . He was a true Christian in word and deed and exhibited mostly the fruits of the spirit .He did not focus on his humble beginnings but made the decision to utilize his innate talents of determination, commitment resilience to build a mega construction company FGN Okoye & Sons in the then Eastern region from a few Pennies with the collaboration of his three sons, the impactful Late Dr felix Chuks okoye, Chief JC Okoye and Eng Chris Okoye

He was not focusing on his past as our past does not equal our future .

He married a very beautiful woman, Dame Monica chiebonam Okoye (nee Okonkwo),and they had 12 children with two surviving sons and 6 surviving daughters.

The loss of his very brilliant well- connected First Son,Dr. Felix Chuks Okoye could have broken him but our parents bore the experience with complete surrender to God and spirit of fortitude.

Dr Felix Chuks okoye’s ‘ wife Barr. Mrs Ijeoma Chuks – Okoye and their children and grandchildren are all doing well .

Our father late sir FGN Okoye was a great role model on living with principle-centered values of inner contentment. Inner peace, gratitude, humility, honesty, integrity,
transparency, compassion, empathy, passion and impact .

Our Father taught us great lessons that a “good name is better than money” and that if you “wanted to be rich you needed to work hard and stay away from ill-gotten wealth”.

These values have largely influenced my life and today I am striving to live those values which have contributed to my inner fulfilment and peace of mind.

One of the greatest gifts, our parents gave us is the gift of prayers. I cannot make it through the day if I miss my prayers and Bible reading .

My spirit, mind and body are instantly renewed once I go to the Lord’s convenant table and speak to Abba Father, my Alpha and Omega , my Root, and Anchor .

Papa and mama thanks for the solid spiritual foundation which you gave me and my siblings from childhood.

I thank God that I also got your gift of determination, focus , commitment, resilience that has enabled me achieve with my husband and children to build a thriving family business .

I also learnt from you compassion and empathy . I am continuing your work of impacting lives through the WOMEN ALIGNED FOR GROWTH- a character rebuilding social change and impact female NGO, ENUGWU- UKWU DAUGHTERS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE, (EDCDI) IYOM ME FOR AZU- OGBUNIKE OGBUNIKE

Our father was never greedy and never cheated anyone in his business life . He was a great family man, humble and accommodating of all .

He was loving to his brothers sisters and other relatives . He had a great marriage with our mother and together, they were blessed with 7 surviving children, 36 grand children and 48 great grandchildren.

Some impactful men women and youths have set up the IMPACTFUL PATRIACHS AND MATRIACHS FOUNDATION and have nominated Late sir FGN Okoye and Dame Monica Okoye one of their posthumous grand patrons .

The main objective is to celebrate the lives of impactful fathers and mothers who nurtured impactful sons and daughters who are contributing in building impactful families . It is also a platform to promote the principle- centered value driven lives they lived as a way of improving our citizenship, leadership for a better Nigeria

Our parents were blessed with 7 surviving children-
Chief JC Okoye ,

Dame Princess Karenate-Egbuson,Lady Uche Obi and Barr. Joy Ebeledike .

We give God the thanks for the impactful lives of Late Chief Ossy Iyizoba and our darling sister Justice Chinwe Iyizoba who died 31st of January . She left a beautiful story of an impactful daughter and Matriarch and her life story will be one of the model stories for impacting lives of women men and youths who are striving to become capable competent credible and impactful leaders .

I salute our inlaws the UCD Okoyes Chiamaonwus , Asiegbus ,Iyizobas, Nwokikes ‘ Nwakwesis ,Karenate- Egbusons,Ik- Obis and Ebeledikes.

The entire Umo-okoye clan of Orji- village Enugwu-ukwu celebrates your impactful life.

My prayer is that all of us will continue to make empowering choices in our lives so we can continue upholding your legacies and that of our role model mother .

Our father’s life style shows itโ€™s not your past that influences the outcome of your life but the decisions you make today and tomorrow will sculpt your life .

May God inspire us to collaborate with each other, holding each other’s hand , the strong supporting the weak so we can all win together .

Our Parenting skills and educational curricula need to be modified to include growth mindset and integrative lifestyle training . This lifestyle anchored on a solid spiritual foundation and positive mindset will help resolve most of our societal. health, relationship financial challenges and help improve the quality of our citizens.

May we emulate the lives of our father late sir FGN so we can begin to rebuild the Nigerian nation.

I recently met Mr Kingsly Uranta the Managing Director of Channels Academy and he said FGN supported his growth and to honour him he has a framed picture of our father late sir FGN Okoye

Our handsome , tall. Ebony-black , vibrant , boisterous father with an impeccable style continue to rest in peace .

Your legacy will continue to be kept alive by Gods grace and give mama ooooooo, brother Felix chuks okoye, sister Justice Chinwe Iyizoba and our wife flossy Okoye (nee Chiamaonwu)big hugs from us .
